Abstract

In most studies that have measured and evaluated religiosity in Iran, models have been used that are prepared in a context other than the ideal culture of Islam and are less relevant to the criteria of religiosity of a Muslim. In this regard, the question is whether, based on the sources of religion, it is possible to provide a Qur'anic model for measuring and evaluating the religiosity of a Muslim? Assuming the existence of such a possibility, this study aims to extract a model for measuring religiosity from the Holy Qur'an using qualitative content analysis, discourse analysis and foundation data theory. The findings suggest that the model obtained by this method, unlike its previous models, has seven levels: First Level, apparent religiosity. Second, unstable religiosity. Third, detailed religiosity. Fourth, undoubted religiosity. Fifth, religiosity in conflict. Sixth, sincere religiosity and the last level is patterned religiosity. These levels are measurable, ranging from the weakest to the strongest. Therefore, upgrading from lower to higher levels is possible by achieving high-level indicators. Considering the evaluation of the levels of religiosity, showed that this model and related criteria have a high validity and reliability in the sample society.
