Abstract

Undoubtedly, bad moral traits have a negative role in the instability and inefficiency of families, including couples. One of the unhealthy moral traits is lying between couples, which plays a role in the inefficiency and instability of families. The present study seeks to identify the factors of lying between couples and ways out of it through qualitative research. For this purpose, after extracting the concepts from reliable sources, subcategories were extracted from the concepts extracted from the texts. Intermediate categories were then inferred from subcategories. Finally, the main categories were abstracted from the middle categories. Independent coders and a group of experts were used to evaluate the extracted categories. For this purpose, all the intermediate categories before the finalization were repeatedly researched in the group of experts to validate the accuracy of the abstract concepts. This work analyzes the results of qualitative research and analytical recognition of the main causes and strategies of lying between couples and its types and practical examples, and its result could be empowing and a new set of skills for families and family counselors.
