An Explanation of the Necessities of School Propagators from the Perspective of the Qur'an and Hadiths

Abstract

In this study, via using the qualitative content analysis method and using library study tools, we are looking for an answer to the question that "what are the requirements for the cleric propagators of schools in the Holy Qur'an and the narratives of the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them)?" The findings of the study suggest that in the Holy Qur'an and the narratives of the Fourteen Infallibles, the propagation of religion is entrusted to the prophets and the Fourteen Infallibles, and after them to people under the title of propagators. Clerics, as the main propagators of the divine religion, have been doing this for a long time. In this regard, considering the importance of adolescence as a critical period in a person's life, and the institution of school as one of the important factors influencing the socialization process of a person, it is an undeniable necessity to send clerics to schools in order to meet the religious needs of students by the trustees of propagation and with the cooperation of the Education Ministry of Iran. In Islamic sources, in order for the cleric propagators of schools to achieve the ideal result of propagation, requirements have been prescribed for them. These requirements are in four general axes: scientific requirements, belief and moral requirements, speech requirements and appearance requirements.
