Abstract

Propagation of Islam and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt schools of thought has long been a constant focus of Shia Islamic seminaries and a part of the identity of this religious-scientific institution. In the last century, the role of the Shia Islamic seminaries, especially Qom seminary, in propagating religious knowledge and promoting the Islamic lifestyle increased with the revival of the Islamic seminary of Qom by the late Grand Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi and renewing scientific-educational activities and the gradual promotion of this seminary, as well as the increasing acceptance of generations to acquire religious sciences, especially after the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and apart from intra-religion and intra-denomination dimensions, it took on extra-religious and international dimensions. The symbol and manifestation of the international activities of Islamic seminary of Qom was illustrated in the two areas of "education" and "propagation", and this article has dealt with the propagational activities of Islamic seminary of Qom and related centers and affiliates of this institution in the last century. The international activity of Shia Islamic seminaries in the last century started by the actions of Marjas Taqlid (the great authorities) in the international arena. An activity that can be considered person-oriented. However, with the victory of the Islamic revolution of Iran and the formation of the Shia system in Iran and the formation of educational, religious and propagational organizations, propagation activities gained wider dimensions, to the extent that in this field, we have also witnessed the presence of private institutions and concerned persons
