Abstract
The role of faith in human education is unparalleled by any other method. The primary educational approach of the Qur’an is to instill belief in the unseen within the human soul. The distinctiveness of faith-centered education, according to Qur’anic teachings, can be summarized as follows:
The Qur’an is not merely an instructional book; it is both educational and formative.
In faith-centered education, the primary goal is not the mere transmission of information, but, alongside information transfer, the cultivation of a perceptive experience through the senses and awareness of the reality of existence.
The educator in this type of training engages not only the intellect but also the heart of the learner.
Faith-centered education, by fostering natural growth and intellectual flourishing, instills knowledge in the heart, shapes thought, reasoning, and personality, and elevates the individual. It can transform a person from a simple, uneducated individual, like Salman al-Farisi or Bilal al-Habashi, into a complete human being. Conversely, if a scholar or Qur’an memorizer does not act based on true faith, their potential for harm is far greater than that of the non-scholar.
