Abstract

Health, security, and overall well-being are fundamental concerns that, when unmet, can lead to various physical and psychological illnesses. In contrast, true faith in God serves as a means to alleviate all worries. Therefore, examining the relationship between belief in God and core religious principles with physical and mental health is a crucial issue, the understanding of which can transform the lives of many who are unaware of spirituality’s influence. The best sources for exploring the connection between faith and health are the Qur’an and the traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Faith and belief in God—manifested as a heartfelt covenant expressed through speech and practiced through actions—shapes human life in a way that ensures comprehensive security across both physical and spiritual dimensions. This occurs because belief in the One God provides the believer with a protective sanctuary against any harmful or punishing forces. This study, conducted through a descriptive–analytical method based on library sources, aims to clarify the relationship between faith and health, encompassing both physical and mental well-being. The findings highlight the essential role of faith in achieving true health.
